Clay Space Glaze Making Program

Clay Space Ceramic Center, with the guidance of studio manager Michael Gundlach and the Clay Space tech team, is excited to offer glaze mixing services to the wider ceramics community. We know many small studios and artists that don’t have the space, equipment, or time to mix glazes in-house. Our goal is to provide support, development and production of cone 6 glazes for use by our fellow artists and clay makers.

Bring us your recipes — we’ll help you get the glazes you are looking for..

How the Program Works

Share Your Glaze Recipes
Send us the glaze formulas you’d like produced.

Feasibility Review
We’ll evaluate each recipe and provide a brief consultation to confirm it’s workable and suitable for production.

Test Batch Production
We prepare a 250g test batch for you to fire and evaluate in your own studio using your clay body and firing schedule.

Approval & Production
Once you’re happy with the results, we can mix your glaze in larger quantities.
